Fourth Person of COVID19 Positive Found in Western Nepal

Kathmandu, Nepal, March 27, 2020: The Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed that fourth person of Coronavirus (COVID-19) positive has been tested in Nepal. 

According to the ministry, a person from Western Nepal was tested positive for COVID-19 while conducting throat mucus test at the National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL).

It is said that the infected 34 year old man has been undergoing treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi since five days. 

With the new confirmed case of COVID-19 positive, it is suspected that the deadly virus would have spread even in the rural parts of the country from the returnees from different countries. It is said that the newly tested COVID-19 positive patient was a returnee from Dubai.  

Earlier three persons had found of coronaviris positive in Nepal. Among them, one has already discharged after recovery while two are receiving treatment at Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Teku, Kathmandu.
