Government Doctors Halt Service Except Emergency Protesting The Civil Service Adjustment Act

Kathmandu, Nepal, April 5, 2019:  The doctors serving in government-run health institutions have started a fresh round of protests against of the government protesting to the civil service adjustment act from Friday.

The government doctors have begun to boycott heath service except of emergency services in all the state-run health institutions. With the protest, the people in general are compelled to return back to their home without health service from the state run hospitals. 

The agitating doctors have a demand that existing provision of the civil service adjustment act has to be corrected by putting them under the federal government. 

As the new act puts them under the jurisdiction of the local bodies including the lower units of the government, the doctors have demand that they have to be placed under the federal government.
