Kathmandu, Nepal, June 2, 2021: Nepal reported 5,316 new COVID-19 infection cases in the past 24 hours on Wednesday.
Likewise, 7,219 people, who were infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged after getting recovered in the past 24 hours.
Similarly, 101 people succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide death tally advanced to 7,555.
There are currently 101,993 active cases across the country. Of them, only 6,862 individuals are staying institutional isolation, 95,131 are in home isolation, 1,446 in ICUs and 385 on ventilators.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) 13,805 PCR tests and 3,073 antigen tests were conducted across the country in the past 24 hours.
Of the newly recorded infection cases, 1,456 were from Kathmandu valley alone.
