Kathmandu, Nepal, June 7, 2021: Nepal has recorded 6,951 recoveries from the coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the past 24 hours on Monday. With the addition, nationwide recovery tally of the country has advanced to 497,960.
Coronavirus infection cases are declining in recent days from across the country including in Kathmandu valley, thanks to the strict restrictions imposed across the country. Of the total infection cases, 1115 cases were recorded in Kathmandu valley in the past 24 hours.
Likewise, 3,370 new infection cases have been recorded from across the country. With the addition, nationwide infection tally has reached to 591,494.
Similarly, 92 deaths related to the coronavirus infections have been recorded from across the country in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide death tally has advanced to 7,990.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), there are currently 85,544 active cases across the country. Of them, only 718 individuals are staying in various institutional quarantine facilities across Nepal.
According to the MoHP, 17,903 total tests were conducted in different labs across the country the last 24 hours, of which 12,002 were PCR tests while 5,901 were antigen tests, the MoHP has stated.
