Nepal Records 124 New coronavirus Infection Cases

Kathmandu, Nepal, April 11, 2023: Nepal recorded 124 new cases of coronavirus infections from across the country in the past 24 hours on Monday. With the addition, nationwide infection tally has advanced to 1,001,877. 

Meanwhile, 29 people, who had infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged after getting recoveries in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide recovery tally has advanced to 989,413. 

Likewise, death toll related to the coronavirus infection has advanced to 12,020 though no death related o the infection was recorded in the past 24 hours on Monday. However, two deaths related to the coronavrius infection were recorded on Sunday. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) as many as 2,566 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 77 PCR and 47 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 444 active cases of coronavirus infections from across the country. Among them, 21 patients are in institutional isolation, 10 in ICUs and four on ventilators, the MoHP has stated. 

As coronavirus infection cases have drastically been spiking in the country, the MoHP has urged one and all to take precautionary measures and also get themselves a booster dose vaccine of the coronavirus infection.
