Kathmandu, Nepal, January 14, 2021: Nepal records 4,204 new coronavirus infections cases from across the country in the past 24 hours on Monday. With the addition, nationwide infection tally jumped to 845,501.
Meanwhile, 306 people, who had infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged after getting recovered in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide recovery tally advanced to 815,653.
Likewise, three deaths related to the coronavirus infection have been recorded in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide death tally related to the coronavirus infection reached to 11,613.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), a total of 20,560 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. Of the total tests, 13,474 were PCR tests while 7,086 were antigen tests. So far, a total of 4,981,260 PCR tests have been carried.
As coronavirus infection cases have drastically been increasing in the country, the number of active cases has jumped to 18343. Of the total active cases, only 115 individuals are in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
