Nepal records single day record high in terms of coronavirus infections today, toll reaches to 105,684

Kathmandu, Nepal, October 10, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally reached to 105,684 after 5008 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours. This is the single day record high in terms of coronavirus infection in the country. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) among the newly recorded coronavirus infection cases, 2672 were from Kathmandu valley alone.  This is also the single day record high in terms of coronavirus infection in Kathmandu valley. 

Among the newly infected cases in Kathmandu valley, 2100 were from Kathmandu while 369 in Lalitpur and 203 in Bhaktapur, states Dr. Jaageshowr Gautam, spokesperson for the Minister during the regular virtual press briefing on Saturday.  

Likewise, 1229 people, who had earlier contracted the virus, have been discharged after recovery during the past 24 hours.   With the new addition, total recovery cases in Kathmadu valley has reached to 74,252.

Similarly, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has reached to 614 after 14 new fatalities recorded in the past 24 hours.
