Nepal reports 5,763 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours breaking the past records

Kathmandu, Nepal, May 1, 2021: Coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 328893 after 5,763 new cases reported from across the country in the past 24 hours on Saturday. 

This is the highest single-day jump in the country cases in the country since the virus reported the first case in January last year.  
 
Of the newly infected cases reported in the past 24 hours on Saturday, Kathmandu Valley alone reported 2,486 new cases. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Kathmandu district alone reported 1,932 cases while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts reported 355 and 208 new cases respectively.

Likewise, the MoHP has also stated that 1,287 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after gaining recovery in the past 24 hours, with the addition, recovery tally of the country has advanced to 282382.

Similarly, death toll related to the coronavirus infection has jumped to 3,298 after 19 fatalities related to the coronavirus infection reported in the past 24 hours.
