Nepal’s coronavirus infection tally reached to 158,089 after 2,856 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours

Kathmandu, Nepal, October 25, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally reached to 158,089 after 2,856 new cases recorded across the country in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the newly recorded infection cases, 1535 were from Kathmandu valley alone. Of them 1,225 were in Kathmandu, 163 in Bhaktapur and 147 in Lalitpur districts.

With the new addition, Kathmandu valley’s coronavirus infection tally has reached 68,996. Three districts of Kathmandu valley has become hotspot for the coroanvirus infections since recent months. 

MoHP has stated that 2,856 people were tested positive for coronavirus after conducting 12, 311 PCR tests across the country in the past 24 hours.
 
Similarly, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus reached to 847 after five new cases of fatalities recorded in the past 24 hours. Likewise, 3,336 people, who had tested positive for coronavirus earlier, have been discharged after recovery. With the new addition, Nepal’s recovery tally has reached to 111,670.

There are 3,064 people who are staying in quarantine facilities while 32,593 people are staying in isolated at their homes. Likewise, 277 coronavirus infected people are in ICU and 66 are on ventilators across the country.
