Nepal’s coronavirus update: 360 new cases identified, 233 discharged and five more die in the past 24 hours

Kathmandu, Nepal, Aug. 06, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus infection tally has reached to 21,750 after 360 new cases recorded from across the country including 86 Kathmandu valley in the past 24 hours. 
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 360 new cases were recorded while testing 6,622 specimens through PCR method.

233 people discharged from hospital 

Likewise, 233 people, who were infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged from health facilities across the country in the past 24 hours. 

With the recent recovery cases, total number of recovery cases has reached to 15,389.

As of today, there are 6,296 active cases of infection across the country, Jageshowr Gauta, spokesperson for the Ministry said during the regular press conferences on Thursday.

Death toll reaches to 65 

Likewise, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has reached to 65 after five persons died during the past 24 hours. 

According to the Gautam, two persons from Morang, and one each from Saptari, Dhanusha and Sarlahi breathed their last due to the infection of virus.  

Two men of age 45 from Morang, a man age of 42 from Saptari, a woman age of 65 from Sarlahi and and another woman age of 75 from Dhanusha died due to the virus.
