Kathmandu, Nepal, November 2, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally reached to 176,500 after 2,933 new cases reported in the past 24 hours. Of the newly infected cases, 1,046 are females and 1,778 are males, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) said on Monday.
According to the MoHP, of the newly infected cases recorded in the past 24 hours, Kathmandu valley alone recorded 1,630 new cases. Among them, 1,329 were from Kathmandu district while 193 were from Lalitpur and 108 from Bhaktapur districts.
Likewise, 3,150 people, who were earlier infected with the coronavirus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of Nepal stands as 137,992.
With the new updates, there are currently 37,524 active cases of coronavirus across the country. Of them, only 2,119 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
Similarly, death toll related to the coronavirus infections has reached to 984 after 24 more fatalities related to the virus reported in the past 24 hours.
