Nepal to impose smart lockdown after spreading threat of coronavirus
  Kathmandu, Nepal      January 09 2022

Kathmandu, Nepal, January 9, 2021: Owing to the spreading threat of coronavirus infection across the country, the government has decided to impose ‘smart lockdown’ that meant not to allow people to assemble exceeding the number of 25.

A meeting of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee (CCMC) held on Sunday decided to close primary and secondary level schools until January end. However, the decision does not seem sufficient to contain the spreading threat of coronavirus at higher secondary level schools.

As the government has not vaccinated yet to the people below the age of 18 years old and almost all the students studying in the higher secondary level are below of that age, the government should have made decision to close all primary to higher secondary level schools if it was serious to save the unvaccinated younger generation from the virus.
