The government had allowed the private business firms to bring necessary medical equipments to contain the spread of the novel corona virus (COVID-19) in Nepal after government failed to bring these goods t contain the spreading fear of corona virus.
It is said that about 50,000 corona virus testing kits, 100,000 sets of ppe and 100,000 pairs of gloves, 80,000 units of masks and 1,500 infrared thermometers were brought.
As the government scarped the contract deal with the Omni Group, which was awarded earlier to supply necessary emergency materials to the government, after controversies for the alleged corruption, there was a looming fear of scarcity of necessary medial equipments to contain the COVID-19.
