Kathmandu, Nepal, February 23, 2023: Bird flu cases have also been detected in Bhaktapur district. Earlier, the deadly deadly flu was detected in several poultry farms in Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts.
With the detection of bird flu in different three poultry farms in Bhaktapur district, it is believed that the deadly flu would have spread across the Kathmandu valley and other parts of the country as well.
However, none of the government agencies concerned have taken the issue seriously to save the people from the deadly virus.
With the confirmation of the bird flu in the chickens of three poultry farms located at Sudal of Changunarayan municipality- 8 in the Bhaktapur district on Wednesday, around 10,480 chickens, 1,050 chicks, 4,523 eggs and 1,475 kg poultry feed were destroyed on Wednesday.
According to the Department of Livestock Services, the bird flu was detected at Changu Narayan Poultry and Hatchery Industry Pvt Ltd, Arjun Giri Poultry Farm and Aditya Poultry Farm.
