Even though the India had hailed the parliamentary and provincial election lately, it is the first that Indian PM held telephone conversation with the Nepali leaders following the result of the elections of House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly.

As Modi held talks with UML Chair Oli, who is believed to be a next Prime Minister of to be formed new government, after CPN Maoist Center Chair Dahal, some have begun to predict that Indian Prime Minister Modi would not give preference to the CPN UML even though it has emerged as the largest party from the recent elections.
