Kathmandu, Nepal, March 10, 2021: The Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal (JSPN) has faced internal differences regarding the issue of participation in the incumbent CPN UML chairman KP Sharma Oli led government.
Though the JSPN held talks with the leaders of the ruling CPN UML regarding the participation in the government, it has not reached on the conclusion after a section of leaders have opposed the idea to participate in the incumbent Oli-led government.
Considering to the situation that the CPN (Maoist Center) would withdraw the support to the government, the government head NCP UML has been trying to woo the JSPN to run the coalition government in support of JSPN.
The JSPN has become the fourth largest party in the parliament with 33 seats. As CPN UML has 120 seats, both the parties can run the coalition government.
As no single party has enough seats in the parliament to run the government, political parties including the JSPN has been intensifying talks to form a coalition government.
The JSPN has already formed a team in order to hold talks with the parties to form a coalition government. As the team has also been holding talks with the main opposition Nepali Congress and the Maoist Center to form a coalition government, a section of JSPN leaders have opposed the idea to participate in the Oli-led government.
