381 new cases of coronavirus including 62 in Kathmandu valley identified in the past 24 hours

Kathmandu, Nepal, August 5, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus infection tally has reached to 21,390 after 381 new cases identified across the country in the past 24 hours. 

According to Dr. Jageshowr Gautam, spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, 381 new cases reported in the past 24 hours across the country including 60 in Kathmandu valley and 133 in Bara and Prasa district. 

Among the 62 newly identified cononavirus patients in Kathmandu valley, 57 are from Kathmandu while 7 are from Lalitpur district. The number of coronavirus infection has gradually been increasing in Kathmandu valley after government lifted the national wide lockdown.  

Likewise, 130 people, who were infected earlier of coronavirus, have returned to their home after recovery. With the new recovery cases, total recovery cases in Nepal has reached to 15, 156.
