At least 15 persons killed in Kaski and Myagdi district

Pokhara, Nepal, July 10, 2020: Torrential rainfall has caused huge loss of lives and properties in Kaski and Magdi districts on Thursday.

Six people killed in Kaski district due to the landslide on Thursday night. According to the reports, five persons of a family died after a house of Tanka Bahadur Thapa located at Pokhara metropolitan city-18 sarangkot swept away due to the landslide on Thursday night. In the landslide eight persons have injured. 

Kaski police has confirmed the incident. However, details of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. Injured passengers are rushed to Manipal hospital for treatment. It is said that three persons out of eight injured persons have reported serious in condition. 

Likewise, Himkala Adhikari, 70 died at Hemja of Pokhara metropolitan city-25 after a landslide came above of her house swept away on Thursday night.  Likewise, landsides have occurred in different parts of the district causing landslide and floods.

Likewise, at least nine people have killed in Dhawalagiri rural municipality-6 of Myagdi district due to the landslide followed by the torrential rainfall on Thursday night. It is said that at least 10 houses were swept away due to the landslide. 

Likewise,   landslide has also damaged some houses of ward number six of the same rural municipality.  Details of the loss of lives and loss of property are yet to be ascertained.
