Birgunj Man Tested Positive of Coronavirus

Birgunj, Nepal, March 22, 2020: A local resident of Birgunj, Parsa district of Nepal has been tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

According to Bishnu Kumar Karki, Chief District Officer (CDO) of Parsa, the tested positive coronavirus patient has been identified as 67-year-old local business man. However, his detail is yet to be revealed officially. 

It is said that the COVID-19 positive patient is currently undergoing treatment at Patna Medical College of Indian state of Bihar. He was admitted to Patna Medical College four days after he tested positive for coronavirus while conducting a heath check up at his resident at Birgunj. 

With the confirmed positive of coronavirus at Birgunj, the bordering town of Nepal to India, the numbers of confirmed cases in Nepal have reached two. Earlier in January, a man had tested positive of coronavirus in Kathmandu. He was returned home after being recovered.
