Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Gurung loss vote of confidence

Pokhara, Nepal, June 10, 2021: Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Prithvi Subba Gurung has failed to win a vote of confidence from the province assembly. 

Gurung garnered just 27 votes of the 61 member provincial assembly. 30 lawmakers of the provincial assembly had casted against of the vote of confidence sought by Gurung.

Earlier, he had also lost the vote of confidence but reappointed again as the Chief Minister in the capacity of the parliamentary party leader of the largest party representing in the provincial assembly.

With the defeat of Gurung, the process to form a new government would begin soon.
