Kathmandu, Nepal, November 24, 2020: Just two days after India’s foreign secretary completes his visit to Nepal, China’s defense minister Wei Fenghe will arrive in Nepal on November 29.

Though the reason behind the Chinese defense minister’s Nepal visit is not revealed yet officially, it is said that he was invited to attend at a program organized to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China.

As Wei’s arrival is going to follow three back to back high-level visits from India within the last one and a half months, his scheduled visit to Nepal is taken importantly from different sectors.

It is said that recent meeting between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqui had fixed the visit of the senior most Chinese minister.

His visit to Nepal is also linked to the recent factional feud of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) that has led the party towards the vertical split.
