Coronavirus infection, recovery and death toll reached to 222,288, 202,067 and 1,337 respectively

Kathmandu, Nepal, November 23, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally has reached to 222,288 after 1,980 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours. Of the newly recorded infection cases, 789 are females while 1,191 are males.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the total newly infected cases, 1,007 cases were surfaced in Kathmandu Valley alone. Of them, 779 are from Kathmandu district while 143 in Lalitpur and 85 in Bhaktapur district, the MoHP said.

Likewise, 3,043 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country stands at 202,067.

Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has reached to 1,337 after 16 more fatalities related to the virus recorded in the past 24 hours.

With the new updates, Nepal’s active coronavirus case count currently stands at 18,884. Among them only 629 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities established across country.
