Kathmandu, Nepal, November 24, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally reached to 224,078 after 1,790 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,790 new cases of COVID-19 recorded while conducting 10,843 PCR tests at various labs across the country in the past 24 hours. Of the newly-infected cases, 721 are females while 1,069 are males.
Among the newly infected cases, 947 cases surfaced in Kathmandu Valley alone. Of them, 692 are from Kathmandu district while 190 in Lalitpur and 65 in Bhaktapur district.
Likewise, 2,791 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has reached to 204,858.
Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus, reached t0 1361 after twenty-four more fatalities recorded in the past 24 hours.
