Coronavirus infection tally advanced to 289,787. 2,351 new cases and ten fatalities recorded in the past 24 hours

Kathmandu, Nepal, April 20, 2021: coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 289,787 after 2,351 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours. Of them, Kathmandu valley alone recorded 1,051 cases. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the newly infected cases, 923 are females while 1,297 are males.

Likewise, 10 people have lost of their lives due to the infection of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide death-toll has reached to 3,112.

There are currently 10,582 active cases across the country. Of them, 9,747 patients have been staying in home isolation, 180 in ICUs and 47 on ventilators across the country, Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the ministry said during the virtual press briefing on Wednesday.
