Death toll reach 31 and dozen missing in the landslide occurred in past 24 hours

Kathmandu, Nepal, July 10, 2020: Death toll has reached 31 while dozens others have been missing in the landslide and floods occurred due to the torrential rainfall in the past 24 hours.    

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA), death toll would increase as dozens of people have still been missing in the landslide and floods.  

It is said that 10 people killed and 12 others are missing at Dhaulagiri and Malika rural municipality of Myagdi district. The landslide and floods have caused havoc in the district. 

Seven people have been killed in Sarangkot and Hemja of Pokhara municipality of Kaski district while nine people killed in Durlung rural municipality of Parvat district. 

Similarly, two persons have lost their lives in Rukum west due to the landslide. As the rainfall is continuing in different parts of the country since Thursday, such accidents are likely across the country in coming days.
