Dr, KC challenges to resort another hunger strike while discharging from the hospital
  Kathmandu, Nepal      August 07 2018

Kathmandu, Nepal:  Senior orthopedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC has been discharged after treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital following 27 days of hunger unto death strike on Tuesday.

As the government and Dr KC had inked on the nine point agreement regarding the issue of reform in the medical education sector, he has challenged that he would resort another strike if the agreement was not addressed promptly.

I hope that the government will honor the nine-point agreement, Dr. KC said in a press meet organized before getting discharge from the hospital.

As Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had assured me that the Medical Education Bill would be passed at the Parliament honoring the agreement, I hope that the agreement will not be despoiled, Dr. KC said in the press conference.

At the same function he however said that he will be compelled to go on another hunger-strike if the government failed to implement the agreement.
