Eight Indian Tourists Lost Lives in Nepal

Kathmandu, Nepal, January 21, 2020: Eight Indian nationals, who were airlifted to Kathmandu after being found unconscious in a room of a resort in Daman, Thaha Municipality of Makawanpur district on Tuesday morning, declared dead in a hospital.

The doctors at the HAMS Hospital in Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu declared dead. A helicopter belonging to Kailash Helicopter Services Pvt Ltd had airlifted the unconscious Indian tourists after they found unconscious at a room of the resort.

The eight deceased Indian nationals comprise of two couples and four children. The identity of the deceased is yet to be established. 

It is said that the he deceased, who hailed from Kerala were out of a group of 15 people, who were travelling to Pokhara from Kerala of India were on the way for returning home in India.

As they had used a gas heater in their room to keep warm, it is suspected that they would have died of suffocation.

The eight deceased have been identified as Praveen Krishnan Nair, Saranya Sasi, Sreebhadra Praveen, Aarcha Praveen, Abhinav Saranya Nair, Ranjith Kumar Adatholath Punathil, Indu Lakshmi Peethambaran Ragalatha and Vyshnav Ranjith.
