Five killed, three injured in Katari jeep accident

Udayapur, Nepal, October 18, 2020:  At least five people killed and three injured when a passenger jeep met with an accident at Bhadaure area of Katahari Municipality-14 of Udayapur district on Saturday night.  

An ill-fated Scorpio jeep with registration number BA 20 Cha 7171, which was heading towards Manebhanjyang of Okhaldhunga district via Katari of Udayapur from Bhairahawa, met with the fetal accident after it veered off the road and plunged into the gorge.
Among the deceased, two have been identified as Ram Bahadur Sarki, 45, and Karna Sarki, 26, from Manebhanjyang-9 of Okhaldhunga district. The identity of the two men and a woman is not identified yet. 

In the accident, Kalpana Sarki, 28 and Kumari Sarki, 22 including driver named as Pawan Khadka have sustained severe injuries. The injured are receiving treatment at a local hospital.
