FNJ condemns killing of journalist and vandalism of media houses

Kathmandu, Nepal:The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has expressed serious concern over the vandalism of media houses during the alleged pro-monarchy movement.

Issuing a press release on Friday evening, FNJ’s General Secretary Ram Prasad Dahal condemned stating that protesters killed a journalist while he was gathering news, set fire to several media houses, threw stones after failing to break into buildings, damaged vehicles, and terrorized journalists.
 
TV Journalist Suresh Rajak of Avenues TV died while covering a fire at a building. Similarly, protesters also vandalized and set fire to the Annapurna Media Group's office in Tinkune.
