Hearing over the house dissolution resumes despite protests from the government’s side
  Kathmandu, Nepal      June 09 2021

Kathmandu, Nepal, June 9, 2021: notwithstanding the demand put forth by the lawyers pleading from the government’s side, the Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court has on Wednesday resumed the hearing over the writ petitions filed against the dissolution of House of Representatives (HoR).

Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana resumed the hearing making clear that the newly constituted Constitution Bench would not be changed at any cost though demands had come to this effect.

The lawyers pleading from the government’s side including Attorney General had on Sunday registered an application protesting the composition of the Constitutional Bench.

They had a demand that Justices Ananda Mohan Bhattarai and Deepak Kumar Karki should not be included in the bench.
