Home Minister Thapa commits to book the perpetrators of deceased Nirmala Panta

Kathmandu, Nepal: Minister for Home Affairs Ram BahadurThapa has assured that the perpetrators of rape and murder of 13-year-old Nirmala Panta would be arrested soon.  

While answering the questions raised by lawmakers regarding the rape and murder of Panta during the meeting of House of Representatives, Home Minister Thapa assured to book the perpetrators.  

The government has already directed the authorities concerned to book the perpetrators and I would like to make a commitment here to punish anyone found negligent in the investigation of the incident, Thapa said.

As zero tolerance policy against the perpetrators in rape and murder of women and children is adopted by the government, no one will get amnesty under any circumstances; Thapa said assuring to the lawmakers.

The Lawmakers from the main opposition Nepali Congress had demanded explanations regarding the progress made to investigate the rape and murder case of Panta.
