Kathmandu, Nepal, November 26, 2029: Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla has arrived in Kathmandu on a two-day official visit to Nepal at the invitation of his Nepalese counterpart Bharat Raj Paudyal on Thursday morning.
Indian Foreign secretary Shringla led delegation landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport at 10:40 am. The officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) including secretary Paudyal welcomed Shringla at the TIA. Officials from the Indian embassy including the Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra had also reached at TIA to welcome Shringla.
Responding to the queries raised by the media persons at the TIA Shringla briefly said that his visit to Nepal is aimed at further deepening bilateral ties between the two neighboring countries.
Likewise, foreign secretaries of both the countries led delegation also held a bilateral meeting at the MoFA on Thursday afternoon. It is said that the discussion was concentrated on ranges of issues related to the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
Likewise, Indian Foreign Secretary Shringla is also scheduled to meeting with high level dignitaries in Nepal including President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali during his stay in Nepal.
The visit of the Indian foreign secretary to Nepal is taken importantly from different sectors because it has happen at a time when both the countries have engaged on some disputes including the border disputes.
