Internal differences of the ruling head NCP reaches at the extent of vertical split
  Kathmandu, Nepal      July 16 2020

Kathmandu, Nepal, July 16, 2020: A meeting between the senior leaders of the ruling head Nepal Communist Party (NCP) held with the aim to settle the internal differences of the party ended inconclusively on Thursday.

As the meeting held between chairman duo Pushpa Kamal Dahal and KP Sharma Oli, who is also the Prime Minister, and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal held at Prime Minister’s official resident, Baluwatar, with the motive to settle the differences before the resumption of the standing committee meeting of the party, which is scheduled for Friday, ended inconclusively, the possibilities are unlikely to settle the internal differences of the NCP.

During the meeting, executive chairman of the party Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal categorically asked Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli to step down from the post of Prime Minister and party chairman by respecting the party’s decision.
However, Oli vehemently rejected the suggesting making clear that he would not resign from any posts. I am ready to talk on other issues except the issue of resignation, Prime Minister Oli had said during the meeting.  It is said that Prime Minister Oli also challenged to take decision against him.
