Kathmandu District Court Allows Nepal Police To Keep Former Speaker Mahara In Police Custody For More Three Days

Kathmandu, Nepal, October 15, 2019: Former Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara will remain at police custody for more three days. 
Kathmandu District Court has on Tuesday allowed the Nepal Police to keep in custody for more three days. Though the court had allowed the Nepal police to keep custody for 13 days, 10 days have already elapsed since his arrest. 
Police had produced him before the Kathmandu District Court seeking consent to keep him in detention for further investigation. 
Mahara was arrested on October 6 on the charge of sexually harassing Roshani Shahi, an employee at the Federal Parliamentary Secretariat.
