Birgunj, Nepal: In the time when whole the country marked the Constitution Day organizing a special function in Kathmandu and other parts of the country, the agitating Madhes-based parties marked the historic day as ‘Black Day’ here on Monday.
The UDMF leaders marked the constitution day as the black day with organizing a protest program as per the decision of the UDMF earlier.
A rally was taken out from Ghantaghar and converged into a corner assembly after passing through major streets of the city. The UDMF leader and the cadres participated in the protest program seemed to have carried black flags and banners to protest the constitution.
During the protest rally, several copies of the constitution were also burnt. Interestingly, Police had not created any obstruction from burning of the copies of the constitution.
