MCC Vice President Sumar Arriving Today in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, Nepal, September 7, 2021: Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Vice President Fatema Z. Sumar is arriving in Kathmandu today (Tuesday) to discuss over the issue of implementing the MCC project in Nepal. 

Sumar is scheduled to hold meeting Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, the main opposition party, CPN-UML chairman and immediate past Prime Minister  KP Sharma Oli, Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal and others.  

Though the exact purpose of Sumar’s visit to Nepal not revealed yet officially, it is said that discussions will be held on ranges of issues related to the implementation of MCC project in Nepal. 

MCC vice-president Sumar’s Nepal visit, which is scheduled just days before the government has made plan to endorse the MCC from the parliament, is taken importantly from different sectors.
