MCC Vice President Sumar-led Delegation Landed in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, Nepal, September 9, 2021: Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Vice President Fatema Z. Sumar and Assistant Vice President Jonathan Brooks have arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday morning. 

The MCC delegate is scheduled to have meeting with Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba latter today. 

Likewise, the MCC delegate is also scheduled to hold meetings with main opposition CPN UML chairman KP Oli, CPN (Maoist Center) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal.  
As the MCC has sent a letter answering the questions raised by the Nepal government, it is said that discussions well be held over the issue of implementation of the project in Nepal. 

Though the Nepal government and the MCC had signed an agreement in 2017, it is not endorsed yet from the parliament to implement as mentioned in the agreement.
