NC demands arrest of guilty in Baglung incident

Kathmandu, Nepal, March 29, 2021: The Nepali Congress (NC), the main opposition party in the parliament, has asked the government to arrest those involved in the brutal murder of its two cadres in Baglung district.

Issuing a press statement on Monday, the NC Spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma has demanded immediate arrest of those involved in the murder of two NC cadres on Sunday afternoon.  

Two NC cadres named as Prakash Kunwar and Dipak Nepali were killed during a violent clash taken place at Baldedhuri, the border of Badigad rural municipality and Nisikhola rural municipality of Baglung district while celebrating Holi festival on Sunday afternoon.  

The dead bodies of Kunwar and Nepali were found about 400 meters down the steep near to the scuffle site. Both the deceased are the district committee members of the NC. 

The killing of two cadres is inhumane incident and highly deplorable, states the statement adding that the NC draws serious attention of the government to actively expedite investigation and arrest the guilty without further delay.
