Nepal Government Extends Ban of International Commercial Passenger Flights, Lockdown To Extend For Another One Week

Kathmandu, Nepal, March 29, 2020: Nepal government has on Sunday decided to extend its ban on all international commercial passenger flights until April 15 as part of a measure to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). 

A High-Level Government Coordination Committee chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokharel made a decision to this effect. 

Likewise the committee has also recommended the government to extend nationwide lockdown for few more days. 

Cabinet meeting scheduled for Monday would take the decision to extend the lockdown decision for another one week.
