Kathmandu, Nepal July 12, 2020: Expressing strong exception to the blasphemous materials disseminated in different news media about Nepal and Nepal’s political leadership, the government of Nepal has sent a ‘diplomatic note’ to India.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), has sent the diplomatic note through the Nepalese Embassy in New Delhi demanding strong actions against the media that have dissimilated obscene materials against Nepal and Nepal‘s political leadership.

The government of Nepal has sent the diplomatic note at the time when some Indian television have been already banned in Nepal the same charge of dissimilating obscene materials against Nepal and Nepal‘s political leadership.

The news materials disseminated by some Indian media are fake, baseless and insensitive and abusive to Nepal and Nepali leadership, states the diplomatic note adding that such materials tend not only to mislead and misinform but also to impair the sense of minimum public decency.

Such a motivated smearing campaign unleashed by a section of Indian media has deeply hurt the feelings of Nepali people and persona of Nepali leadership, states the diplomatic note.
