Nepal records only 570 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours

Kathmandu, Nepal October 27, 2020: As the government lowered the PCR tests due to the Dashain festival, coronavirus (COVID-19) infections cases have also sharply declined on Tuesday.  

Nepal recorded only 570 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. With the addition, Nepal’s coronavirus infection tally reached to 160,400.

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has stated that only 570 new cases of COVID-19 detected while conducting 2,725 PCR tests n the past 24 hours.

Similarly, 3,168 people, who were earlier diagnosed with COVID-19, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, Nepal’s recovery tally reached to 118,843.

Likewise, death toll due to the infection of COVID-19 reached to 876 after 14 more fatalities linked with COVID-19 recorded in the past 24 hours. 

There are currently 40,681 active cases of COVID-19 across the country.
