Kathmandu, Nepal, September 26, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus tally reached to 71,821 after 1,207 new infections cases reported in the last 24 hours.
Of the newly recorded cases, 724 new cases were from Kathmanndu valley alone. With the new addition, total infection cases in Kathmandu valley reached to 20,698.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) 1,147 people, who were tested positive of virus in the past, have been discharged after recovery.
With the new addition, total recovery cases reached to 53,013, Dr, Jageshowr Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry said during a regular virtual press briefing on Saturday.
According to him, there are 18,341 active cases of infection in the country while 6,331 people are under quarantine.
Likewise, death toll due to the infection of coroavirus reached to 467 after eight fatalities reported in the past 24 hours.
