Kathmandu, Nepal, September 22, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus tally reached to 66,632 after 1,356 new infections reported in the last 24 hours.
According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) of the newly recorded coronavirus cases, 647 were from Kathmandu valley alone.
Likewise, 823 people, who had tested positive of coronavirus infection earlier, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the new addition, total recovery cases in Nepal reached to 48,061.
There are only 18,142 active cases of infection in the country while 7,171 people are under quarantine, spokesperson Gautam said during the regular virtual press briefing on Tuesday.
Similarly, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus reached to 429 after two fatalities registered on Tuesday.
