Kathmandu, Nepal, July 24, 2024: The post-mortem of those who died in the plane crash of Sourya Airlines has started at the University Teaching Hospital.
Though the cause of death is known, the post-mortem is being carried out to identify the bodies of the deceased person, the authority has said.
It is said that doctors of Teaching Hospital, Patan Institute of Health Sciences and Bhaktapur Hospital have been appointed for the post-mortem.
18 people were killed when a Sourya Airlines flight crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport that was flywing to Pokhara.
Three people from the same family died in the accident. The airline's technician Manuraj Sharma, his wife Preeja Khatiwada Sharma and their son Adhiraj Sharma have died in the crash.
Others deceased have been identified as Amitman Maharjan, Sagar Acharya, Dilip Verma, Ashwin Niraula, Sudipalal Joshi, Karvosh Marasini, Shyam Vindukar Navraj Ale, Rajaram Acharya, Edhav Puri, Yagya Prasad Poudel, Santosh Mahato, Punyaratna Shahi, co-driver Sushant Katuwal and Yemeni national Aref Reda, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has informed.
