Kathmandu, Nepal, April 2, 2021: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has formally launched the distribution of drinking water under Melamchi Water Supply Project in Kathmandu.
The President Bhandari launched the distribution of water in Kathmandu by inaugurating a traditional tap, which is popularly known in Nepal as Dhenge Dhara constructed at Bhrikutimandap of Kathmandu amid a function on Monday.
Speaking at the same function, Prime Minister K P Oli termed the distribution of drinking water under Melamchi Water Supply Project in Kathmandu valley as great achievement of the government made in the front of construction and development activities in the country.
During the function, Prime Minister Oli also announced to bring water from Yangri and Larke Rivers in Kathmandu valley within the next three years.
