Prime accused of Nirmala rape and murder case released

Kanchanpur, Nepal: Dilip Bista, an accused of the Nirmala rape and murder case, has been released on general date on Tuesday.

Similarly, Roshani Bam and Babita Bam have also been released. Roshani has been released on general date while Babita on Rs 30,000-bail.

Kanchanpur police made the decision to release the prime accused on the basis of the recommendation of the High Level Investigation Committee, formed by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) to investigate the case. 

The decision is made just day after the High Level Investigation Committee member Birendra KC had resigned from his post expressing dissatisfaction over the credibility of the committee.

It is said that joint secretary at the Home Ministry Hari Prasad Mainali is preparing to submit its report.
