Kathmandu, Nepal, September 5, 2023: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and the main opposition party CPN-UML’s Chairman KP Sharma Oli held a meeting on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Dahal, who is also the chairman of the CPN Maoist Center, and UML chairman Oli, who is also the former prime minister, had a meeting for almost half an hour on Tuesday afternoon at the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers located in Singhdarbar.
During the meeting, various bills registered in the Parliament as well as Prime Minister Dahal's upcoming visit to America and China was discussed.
Prime Minister Dahal is going to New York on September 16 to participate in the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations. It is said that he will visit China from there.
Although the discussion between the prime minister and the leader of the main opposition party is a normal process, the meeting between Dahal and Oli is considered as an unusual event, thanks to souring relationship between them.
