Ruling head NCP postpones its standing committee meeting at again for the fourth consecutive time

Kathmandu, Nepal, July 10, 2020: Standing Committee meeting of the ruling head Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has been postponed at gain for the fourth consecutive time till July 17. 

The meeting was postponed for seven days reasoning for the recent floods and landslide occurred across the country. 

The scheduled meeting has been called off as the whole party is engaged in carrying out rescue and relief works of the victims due to landslides and floods around the country, NCP spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha has stated in his Twitter.

Earlier NCP’s standing committee meeting was postponed for third consecutive time due to the widening differences in the party. 

As the dispute of the party is yet to be settled, the leaders have intensified meetings in different levels by postponing the ongoing standing committee meeting. 

The ruling head NCP has reached at the verge to vertical split after majority of the standing committee and secretariat members have demanded resignation of KP Oli from both the posts- Prime Minister and party president.
