Kathmandu, Nepal, November 30, 2019: The ruling head Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has opened up account in the by-election held on Saturday by winning the elections for the post of ward chairperson of Thawang rural municipality-1 of Rolpa district.

According to the reports, NCP candidate Janak Bahadur Budamagar won the election by securing 174 votes while his nearest rival candidate of the Nepali Congress Kalam Bahadur Rokka received only 26 votes.

However, the election held in Thawang rural municipality-1 of Rolpa district has raised serious question marks over the spirit of democracy but not the legal or technical one issue because only 209 voters out of 1274 voters had taken part in the elections.

Likewise, NCP candidate Krishna Bahadur Tamang has also won the elections held for the post of Chairpersons of the Punarbas municipality ward no 3 of Kanchanpur district.
