Kathmandu, Nepal July 12, 2020:  Challenging the decision to take action her, former lawmaker Sarita Giri has filed a writ petition against Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal at the Supreme Court (SC), the Apex court of the country, on Sunday demanding annulment of her party’s decision to remove her from the member of the Parliament and the party.

In the writ petition, she has argued that the party’s decision to remove her from both the member of the House of Representatives and the party was unlawful. How can the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal can take such an action before registering at the Election Commission (EC), Giri has raised questions.

The Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal had expelled her from the member of the House of Representatives and party membership on the alleged charge of not adhering the party’s directives to withdraw the proposal registered at the parliament against the government’s bill to change the Nepal’s map in the constitution.
